I have a camel-colored handbag that has gotten quite dingy on the back. There is also a small coffee stain (or something) on one of the corners.
Even though they're barely noticeable, it's killing me! But I don't know the best way to get it cleaned. Should I buy a bottle of some type of leather cleaner? Or are there professional leather cleaners out there?
I am totally clueless.

Hmm, the only leather cleaners I have used were for shoes. I would buy them in Walmart or something in the shoe department.
Your bag is probably to nice to use a shoe cleaner on though..

2A leather cleaner for furniture might work. We have leather sofas and the furniture store gave us bottles of the cleaner when we bought them. However, I'm not convinced that it actually cleans anything. It's like Armorall - it just conditions it and keeps it moisturized.
3Get one of those little hand held shoe cleaner things from Target or Walgreens or where ever. That will do the trick. I think its made by Kiwi & its in the shoe aisle at Target.
4If, you paid a fortune for it, take it to get professionally cleaned.
5I'd try the shoe or furniture leather cleaner if it wasn't too expensive of a purse.
6Depending on how the leather was tanned will decide how it should be cleaned....if it was "soft" tanned then water might be all you need. My saddle colored leather sofa got red wine spilled on it and all I needed to do was take a wet towel to the area after blotting up the wine.......If you use a leather cleaner on something that is "soft" you will remove the tanning color. If you aren't sure then take it to a professional..... I wet the sofa pretty well and evenly. Once it dried the stain was gone.
