I don't really wear flip flops all that much. I have nothing against them but I prefer to wear funky flat sandals instead of basic flip flops. But most of my sandals have buckles and crap that are annoying so on weekends (or mornings when I take the dog out) I'd prefer just a simple pair of black flip flops.
But I find most pairs very uncomfortable. The ubiquitous Old Navy flip flops are cheap, for sure, but the rubber top rubs my feet and gives me blisters, and they fall apart pretty quickly. I know that everyone seems to love Havaianas, but are they comfortable? And do they last? $24 isn't a lot of money but I can't justify spending that much on flip flops unless they're VERY comfortable and will last for longer than one summer.
So, if anyone has any flip flop recommendations, pass 'em along, please.
Kthanxbye.

I bought some flippie floppies on my walk down in Hollywood and it took me forever to find a shop that sold the cheap kind.
They too killed my feet. But they were much better than the boots I was wearing.
Sorry I have no recommendations. I just thought I'd share and I wanted an excuse to say flippie floppies.
1I bought some black Columbia flip flops on vacation once because the other sandals I had killed my feet and I had tons of blisters. I was able to finish the trip comfortably with them.
2I have a pair that I got at Target that have a thin-ish foam bottom and almost like a grosgrain strap. They're so comfy and have never given me blisters.
3I've heard good things about Havianas too, I use to work in a shoe shop and they were very popular. My friend bought a pair before she went travelling last summer and they lasted the whole trip (she still wears them now) and she said they were really comfortable.
4I didn't like my Havianas. They are so flat and have no cushion at all. I have a pair from Victoria's Secret that I wear a lot and they don't hurt my feet:

I swear by J. Crew flip flips. It takes a few days to break them in (so you might get a blister or two at the start), but I live in them during the summer. Seriously, every April or May I buy like 6 pairs. Love em.
6Flip flips? Wow.

Flip Flips! Love it! I have a billion flip flops and none of them kill my feet. Maybe because
I wear them 10 months out of the year. My two favorite pair have been my DC's and my Rampage.

Buy Crocs. They won't hurt your feet only your soul.
9I was amazed that we were in the cheapest and tackiest place in LA and couldn't find a pair of cheap flippy floppies
10Sorry, I don't have any recommendations.
I have had this pair of Reef's since HIGH SCHOOL, and I love them and they don't hurt my feet, in fact, I have worn an imprint of my feet into them so it's like they were made just for me!
11Oh, I've heard good stuff about Reef flip flops, so I just ordered a pair. Not those same ones you linked to, Ash, but a pair with thinner straps.
12
I don't think you'll be disappointed!
13I wwear flip flops constantly - but do the old navy route because I am cheap and like lots of variety in a flip flop!
14Crocs! I love mine.

15I just got new Havanias and their very comfy. I do looooove my Fit Flops, they are so comfy and great for walking. I recommend highly Fit Flops
XOXO,

Reefs are the sh*t! I have about five pairs. I also love JCrew flip flops too.
17Ooh, we talked about this! I bought a pair about two years ago from Payless for $12 - they are sooo effin comfy and actually - every woman in my family has bought a pair (or more) since. They are ridiculously cheap & comfy. I promise.. if $12 is in your budget - get your ass to Payless. They are Airwalks. Mine are brown

19The only things I have to say about flip-flops:
Don't wear socks with them unless you are a Geisha or you have just gotten out of prison. That sort of advertizes the wrong thing don't you think?
Don't wear them with a "formal" anything. If I have to explain that one you need help.
Don't buy ones that don't fit--meaning toes hanging off the front or your heel flopping off the back. Vanity has no place in flip-flops.
I tend to only buy ones with black or brown bottoms--why--because nothing is more gross than everyone seeing your dirty footprint on your shoe. I know, it isn't really "dirt" but it looks like it.
Personally I can't wear anything without heels--so even my flip-flops have heels. Avoid ones that have a plastic toe piece. I love my "Soda" brand. Even though they have a three inch heel I wear them everywhere.
20Reefs for sure.
21Definitely Reefs
22
I've had my Reefs for at least 6-7 years! Mine have a foot imprint too Ash. And doggie chew
marks!
23I was going to suggest Reefs, but I see you already bought some. They're great. You will really like them!
24I don't wear flip flops, so I'm no help.
Even though you are looking for a decent pair, I wanted to FYI everyone, not to buy flip flops made in China from Walmart, they are causing chemical burns.

Buy RAINBOWS! (that's the brand)
Here are girlie ones: http://www.rainbowsandals.com/501Crystal.aspx
They're expensive. But they last for at least 4 years unless you do a lot of hiking in them L)
They mold a little bit to your feet, the soles are sturdier and the foot straps stretch just enough and stay where they need to.
I used to only buy old navy ones and they didn't even make it through the summer.
26i am a flip conisuer. i have rainbows but actually whip i have at least 3 pair of the exact reefs u posted. live in them constantly. no other flip will do
