Ratatouille is the story of Remy (Oswalt), a rat who lives in France. While the rest of his fellow rats are happy scrounging for garbage and scraps to eat, Remy enjoys fine foods and has a gift for combining flavors to make things delicious. One day, Remy is separated from his family and ends up in Paris, at the restaurant of his deceased idol, Chef Gusteau (Garrett), whose motto was "Anyone can cook." Gusteau's ghostly spirit and Remy become friends.

Alfredo Linguini (Romano) is a nervous young man who takes a job at the deceased Gusteau's restaurant as a garbage boy. But when he accidentally takes credit for a delicious soup that was secretly made by Remy, he is given a chef's job by the angry chef, Skinner (Holm). Linguini and Remy team up and Remy finds a way to control Linguini's movements. Pretty soon, people from all over Paris are lining up to taste Linguini's food, clueless to the fact that it's actually being prepared by a rat.

But Skinner, for reasons I won't reveal, has it in for Linguini and wants him and his reputation destroyed. Meanwhile, Linguini is falling in love with his coworker and fellow chef Collette (Garafolo) and diabolical restaurant critic Anton Ego (O'Toole) is about to come in to write his review, complicating things even further.

This movie, like all the Pixar movies I've seen, was totally cute, and had plenty of things for adults to enjoy as well as the children. The animation was brilliant and the whole movie generally made me smile.
