I was inspired to do this post just now when I took the dog out. There's a crapload of honeysuckle growing around the corner, and I was thinking how, if there was a little less of it, it'd smell heavenly, but there's too much and it's rather overpowering.
Anyway, it got me to thinking of my favorite smells so here they are:
bacon frying
lavender
coconut
vanilla
garlic sauteed in butter
fresh basil
fresh coffee
rain on hot, dry ground (the specific term for this is "petrichor")
cookies baking
creme brulee
rosemary
a bonfire
cinnamon

My mum's clothes which all have the similar smell of all her perfumes mixed together.
Garlic
Coty L'aimant perfume, reminds me of my Grandma.
Cinnamon, also.
Jasmine oil, which is what my mum put in my brother and sisters hair when they were babies.
Strawberry fragrance oil, which is the first perfume I ever bought, when I was about 6.
Cut grass.
And the spot just behind my Labrador's ear, which technically speaking should smell bad, but actually smells warm and furry.
Vanilla candles.

If I had to pick a bottle or candled scent - I would say pumpkin spice in the fall, mulberry in the winter, Lavander in eth spring and strawberry in the summer.

you know i always have such a hard time answering this question even though my sense of smell is pretty keen. there are just so many for me. so i will say my most fave smells are those who triggers a pleasant memory.
and i am having a difficult time remembering the rain on dry concrete phenomenon
